Requesting Accommodations

Students who require accommodation must follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Request: Complete the Student Accommodation Request Form.
  2. Provide Documentation: Submit appropriate medical or psychological documentation.
  3. Interactive Process: Meet with the Office of Disability Services (ODS) to discuss individual needs.
  4. Approval & Implementation: Receive an accommodation plan and coordinate with faculty.
  5. Case Management-Receive guidance from the Office of Disability Services while enrolled at the University.

Grievance Process

Students who disagree with an accommodation decision may follow this process:

  1. Informal Resolution: Discuss concerns with the ODS Director.
  2. Formal Appeal: Submit a written appeal to the Dean of Students.
  3. ADA Compliance Review: If unresolved, request a review by the ADA/504 Coordinator.
