Graduate Admissions Requirements
JCSU offers one graduate program, the Master of Social Work (MSW), with two entry pathways: Advanced Standing (1-year program) and the Traditional MSW (2-year program).
Graduate Application Package
Applicants must submit a complete application to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, which includes:
- Graduate application form (plus program-specific application, if required).
- Cover letter of intent.
- Letters of recommendation (as required by the program).
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended.
- Application fee.
Additional MSW Admission Notes
- The MSW program does not require the GRE.
- No credit is granted for prior life or work experience.
- Incomplete applications are placed on hold until all materials are received.
- Applications are reviewed three times per year; applicants must meet program-specific deadlines.
- All submitted materials become the property of JCSU and will not be returned or released.
- Admission based on false or incomplete information may result in dismissal.
