The Office of Accreditation, Data Analytics, and Transformation supports and advances the mission and strategic plan of Johnson C. Smith University by providing leadership and guidance for assessment, accreditation, strategic planning, data analytics, research, and transformation initiatives. The Division collaborates with faculty, staff, administration, and external stakeholders to enhance the quality of academic programs, and student support units through the evaluation of effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Goal 4: Optimize Financial and Operational Performance
o Objective 4.4: Build a campus-wide data architecture, guiding the institution towards making data-informed decisions.
o Objective 4.5: Strengthen processes and procedures at all levels of the institution for operational efficiency and academic effectiveness.

Accreditation

The Office of Accreditation, Data Analytics, and Transformation is responsible for coordinating the reviews and approvals required by SACSCOC and ensuring the institution remains in compliance with the institution’s Substantive Change policy.

Assessment

The Assessment unit, under the direction of the Chief Strategist for Accreditation, Data Analytics, and Transformation Initiatives, operates with the perspective that accurate and available assessment data will lead to continuous improvements within individual units, interdepartmental collaborations, and the institution as an accredited body.

Program Review

The Johnson C. Smith University Program Review is intended to improve the quality and effectiveness of all academic programs.

Data Analytics

The Data Analytics unit, under the supervision of the Chief of Accreditation, Data Analytics, and Transformation, supports Johnson C. Smith University by providing accurate, timely, and actionable data to inform decision-making, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.

The Office of Transformation Initiatives

The Office of Transformation Initiatives (OOTI) was established at JCSU in 2021 to propel Johnson C. Smith University into becoming a top-tier HBCU.
