On behalf of President Valerie Kinloch ’96 and the Division of Institutional Advancement, we are delighted to invite you to a truly special celebration during Alumni Reunion Weekend 2026, scheduled for Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17, 2026.

This year’s reunion holds added significance as we come together to honor the milestones you have reached since graduation. It is a moment to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the collective accomplishments that embody the enduring spirit of the Golden Bull. With class years ending in 1 and 6 marking reunions this cycle, we look forward to an inclusive weekend filled with fellowship, nostalgia, and pride.

All of this year's Award recipients
Johnson C. Smith University honored a dedicated cohort of donors during the 1867 Giving Society Brunch, held Sunday, April 26, in the New Science Center Innovation Lab. As a signature moment of Founders Week, the gathering brought together alumni, faculty, staff, and community leaders united by a shared belief in the power of philanthropy and the mission of JCSU. Mr. Calvin Banks '69 moderated the event.

Johnson C. Smith University hosted an estimated 90 faith leaders in its inaugural Ministers Luncheon, held inside Grimes Lounge as part of Founders Week 2026—an intentional step toward deepening ties between the University and the faith community. Rev. Dr. Boise Kimber, a distinguished JCSU alumnus and current President of the National Baptist Convention USA served as keynote speaker.

On March 7, 2026 Community leaders, advocates, and residents gathered at Johnson C. Smith University’s Sarah Gambrell Auditorium for the Legacy’s Voice Community Town Hall, a conversation focused on maternal health and patient rights. Organizers aimed to strengthen trust between families and healthcare systems in the Carolinas. Those gathered aimed to increase positive maternal health outcomes.
