Dr. Mazumder conducts research on Computer Science (CS) Education and Human-Computer Interaction. She works as an instructor of Computer Science at Johson C. Smith University while supporting the Title III-funded project STEAM Learning Center. She earned her Ph.D. in Computing and Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She completed her Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Mazumder employs qualitative and quantitative methods to learn about CS1 students’ mental models of programming concepts.
