Biography

Reatna A. Taylor, MPH, RDN, LDN, is a bilingual, first-generation Panamanian-American registered dietitian with over five years of experience delivering culturally conscious nutrition care to Latino communities, managing chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.

She currently serves as Nutrition Program Manager and Food Pantry Coordinator at Camino Salud in Charlotte, NC, where she integrates clinical nutrition with community initiatives. In this role, she develops personalized nutrition plans, leads bilingual cooking and wellness classes, and is working towards advancing food-as-medicine efforts to address food insecurity through culturally relevant, equity-driven strategies.

Beyond her community work, Reatna also contributes to clinical research as a coordinator for Camino Salud and serves as an adjunct professor in health and nutrition at Johnson C. Smith University, her alma mater, blending academic teaching with real-world application.

Reatna earned her Master of Public Health in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Bachelor’s in Biology from Johnson C. Smith University. Her work is grounded in respect for culture, community, and the lived experiences of those she serves.
