Biography

Raghu Gompa has a Ph. D. in applied mathematics (Schrodinger¨ initial value problems) from the University of Toledo, with strong computer science background. He taught computer science classes in Jacksonville State University and mathematics in Jackson State University. He has an ample experience in grant-writing and grant-management. He has extensive teaching experience and won many teaching excellence awards. One of the teaching awards (FACET) led to organize, deliver, and participate in many faculty development activities. He contributed to QEP in Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Atlanta, GA (as the chair of Mathematics Department) and Jackson State University, Jackson, MI. He actively participated and provided several service learning opportunities for students in Indiana University Kokomo, Kokomo, IN (IUK) and Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. He delivered and organized professional development workshops for online, hybrid, or traditional teaching faculty. He completed Quality Matters training (Quality Matters professional development is designed to help educators deliver the promise of quality online learning opportunities to every level of learner – K-12, Higher Ed., Continuing & Professional Ed., and corporate training). He designed online course delivery and taught many online/hybrid courses for more than two decades.
