Biography

As a North Carolina native, Nichole Patterson earned a BA in Psychology and an MS in Counseling from NC Agricultural and Technical State University. She also holds a national certification in Counseling, which she leveraged during a Student Affairs career in the NC Community College System. Nichole is a fierce champion of student success and a certified Student Success Coach. Her primary focus is on student success, family engagement, and living learning communities. Since arriving at JCSU in the Summer of 2023, Nichole has co-presented success coaching performance outcomes at the College Board, Harvard University, and the UNITE and NACADA conferences. She also contributes to the Charlotte community as a Board of Directors member for two credit recovery charter high schools. 
 
Nichole is an active member of the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a mother of two, and a ‘Gigi’ to one.
