Biography
As the Assistant to the Chief Strategist, Matthew works to help establish, monitor, and maintain effective and sustainable initiatives that contribute to the transformation of Johnson C. Smith University as a top-tier institution. Matthew has over ten years of experience in management and supervision, emphasizing training and development. He is a results-driven professional who leverages organizational leadership, management, and community engagement expertise to promote equity and drive impactful initiatives. A native of Columbia, SC, he attended Clemson University in 2007 and pursued a Bachelor of Philosophy. He holds Human Research IRB certifications from Winthrop University as of January 2022 and CSI Concept Mapping as of March 2023.
