Biography

Dr. Alexandra Arrington is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central University, and earned a doctorate of education in Organizational Leadership, studying Black leadership in creative entrepreneurship. She is a provisionally Licensed Counselor in NC, a Certified Financial Educator Instructor, and has an eCornell Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship. Her communications and counseling experience have culminated in a variety of professional roles. Her career includes working with young children; college students; seniors; individuals with mental health diagnoses, lack of basic needs, little to no work experience, etc.; and organizations to engage meaningful life and work experiences for staff. She is passionate about community, owning one’s time, individual and collective holistic well-being, and helping others achieve business goals.

She has accepted the call to teach and mentor students at JCSU since 2018 in the Leadership and Professional Development, Computer Science, Political Science, and Business and Public Leadership Departments.
