There are several types of financial aid that are available through the university.
Johnson C. Smith University administers various types of scholarships. Academic scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement (3.0 or better GPA is required). Entering freshmen are offered scholarships based upon SAT and ACT scores, class rank and high school GPA.
This grant is designed to meet the needs of student-athletes at Johnson C. Smith University. Individual coaches determine the amounts offered.
Music scholarships are available to students who demonstrate exceptional skills in band and choir. Either the band director or choir director at Johnson C. Smith University must recommend students for these scholarships.
Individuals who are immediate family members of employees are eligible to apply for remitted tuition. In all cases, children of employees are requested to apply for financial assistance. A tuition remission form must be approved by, and completed with, the Business Office.
Students who are currently enrolled and who have a sibling, parent or spouse currently enrolled receive a 10% discount on their direct cost. If the direct cost is covered by an internal/external scholarship, no family scholarship will be given.
