What if Johnson C. Smith University Criminology students could step into a career in law enforcement with more confidence in their abilities thanks to enhanced training at the undergraduate level?

Thanks to a simulation donation from Ti Training, JCSU students can immerse themselves in more than 800 simulated scenarios that will test their abilities and educate them on proper use of force.

Johnson C. Smith University has partnered with Northeastern University’s Charlotte campus to create a pipeline for aspiring Black healthcare professionals.

The partnership will create opportunities for JCSU students to first attain foundational pre-health education from JCSU before transitioning to Northeastern’s accelerated Bachelor of Nursing, Master of Public Health or Master of Applied Behavioral Analysis programs.

Johnson C. Smith University Attracts 400 Students to Esports and Gaming Week Event

Johnson C. Smith University is known as home of a comprehensive Esports and Gaming Program that is the first of its kind at an HBCU.
Esports and Gaming at JCSU is comprised of an academic program, an esports lab and a highly competitive esports club, which makes it different from programs at other institutions.

With sights set on increasing diversity in the field by educating more esports and gaming professionals, JCSU hosted Esports and Gaming Week, which attracted more than 400 middle and high school students to campus March 1 and 2.

The briefing was hosted by Keisha Lance Bottoms, the senior advisor to the President for Public Engagement, and featured a visit from Vice President Kamala Harris.
