Gabrielle Isaac Allison is a marketing and communications specialist with an extensive background in writing, graphic design, photography, email marketing, advertising, leadership and videography.


She graduated magna cum laude from Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C. in 2015.


She began her career as a journalist at The Robesonian, a daily newspaper covering the state’s largest county: Robeson County. There, she covered the education, crime and health beats. After a year, she was promoted to the role of features editor.

She returned to Methodist University in 2016 as a marketing assistant and graphic designer, where she focused on social media management, graphic design, photography and videography. After more than five-and-a-half years, she left Methodist University to further her career as the assistant director of University Communications and Marketing at Johnson C. Smith University, where she specializes in media relations.


Gabrielle has had the pleasure of interviewing some of the greatest minds and changemakers of the day, including Ruby Bridges, Martin Luther King III, Dr. Cornel West and Erika Alexander, among others.


Outside of her career, Gabrielle served as a founding member of Fayetteville’s Millennial Advisory Commission (now NEXT). The commission was founded to help inform city council on the policies and procedures they can put into place to attract and retain millennial citizens. During her years on the commission, she served as secretary, vice chair and chair. Several of her millennial-focused content pieces focusing on student debt and millennial mindset have been extensively viewed by audiences around the world.


Gabrielle has been the recipient of numerous awards for her efforts in the fields of communication and leadership. In 2021, she was named to the Fayetteville Observer’s 40 Under 40 List, which recognizes “ those who excel in their professional roles as well as in the ways they serve their communities.” She is also the recipient of the Fayetteville Observer Publisher’s award (2015) and the Editor’s Award (2014). She and her show-mates from the collegiate radio show “Gabbie and the Ghost,” were the first students to be inducted into Methodist University’s Mass Communication Hall of Fame.


Outside of her professional life, she enjoys content creation, watching movies, music and spending time with her husband, Jonathan.
