The Center for Career and Professional Development is a centralized office that coordinates on-campus recruiting, position postings, career fairs, resume referrals, and other career related services.

Campus Connection & Partnership Program

The Center for Career and Professional Development is ready to assist employers who seek to hire students and graduates of Johnson C. Smith University.  Frequent interaction and high visibility on campus are imperative to building brand recognition and successful relationships with students and faculty.  There are several avenues to establishing and maintaining connections and partnerships on campus.  You may participate in one or more of the following:

  • Connect with student organizations
  • Participate in On-Campus Recruiting
  • Schedule classroom presentations and workshops
  • Sponsor an event
  • Volunteer to present workshops, review resumes, or conduct mock interviews
  • Register for the 2019 Annual Career Fair to be held September 18, 2019
  • JCSU (“Just in Case Students need Us”) Professional Clothes Closet
    • Donors needed- Business attire for all shapes and sizes, both men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories (belts and ties), preferably dry cleaned.
