JCSU Child Care Access Means Parents In School program (CCAMPIS)

Authorized by the Higher Education Act and administered by the U.S. Department of Education, the Johnson C. Smith University CCAMPIS Program helps Mecklenburg County student-parents stay in school and graduate. 

Who is eligible? 

Full-time JCSU student-parents enrolled at JCSU are Pell Grant Eligible. 

What will you receive?

Child Care Resources Inc. logoQualifying students will receive semester-long childcare subsidies, ranging from $200 to $500 per month. Child Care Resources Inc. (CCRI) will provide assistance in finding qualified childcare providers. Funding is based on a sliding scale that measures the student's commitment to academic success and financial need. 

Mentoring and coaching

CCAMPIS recipients will also participate in workshops and programming offered to support student and career success.
