JCSU Student Relief Fund

The health and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and other members of the JCSU family are our highest priority. Challenges presented by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic are formidable, and we are constantly evaluating the best actions to ensure the health and safety of our community. As you may know, we have made the difficult decision to close all residence halls on March 30, 2020 to help prevent the spread of the virus. We are very fortunate that we haven’t had a case diagnosed on the JCSU campus. Please pray for us that it remains that way.

Due to the circumstances, we have many students who need financial assistance to help with the costs of leaving the residences halls, including transportation to their homes, alternate housing in Charlotte, food, utilities and incidentals. That’s why we have established the JCSU Student Relief Fund to provide financial assistance to enrolled students experiencing a temporary or unexpected hardship during this public health crisis. A number of alumni have reached out to us and asked how they can help our students. Contributing to the JCSU Student Relief Fund is one of the best ways you can help them. Your generosity will allow students get settled and be prepared for online classes which begin March 30, 2020.

The JCSU family has always taken care of its own in times of need. Thank you for your willingness to take care of this generation of Golden Bulls as we face an unprecedented challenge in higher education. Continue to hold high the Gold and Blue in these trying times. May you be safe, healthy and strong throughout this pandemic.
