Charlotte, N.C./Sept. 21, 2017--Johnson C. Smith University is pleased to announce the appointment of Tami B. Simmons as vice president of Institutional Advancement. Simmons, a member of JCSU’s Board of Trustees, serves as executive director of Susan G. Komen Charlotte having joined the organization in 2012. She will assume her new role at the University on Oct. 18, 2017, to head the areas of fundraising and development, communications and marketing, and alumni relations.
