Yancy Technology Center
Named for JCSU’s twelfth President and it's only female President, Dr. Dorothy Cowser Yancy, the 23,000 square foot Yancy Hall Technology Center was dedicated on October 23, 1998. It is designed to offer a high-tech education for students, especially those in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The building supports student and faculty research in information technology and telecommunications, and includes state-of-the-art laboratories for cybersecurity, robotics, electronics, computer modeling and simulation, telecommunications, bioinformatics and data mining. The center also features an auditorium, teleconferencing equipment, a technical library and classroom space.
