Brayboy Gymnasium
Named for JCSU alum, football player, teacher, coach, and Director of Athletics Dr. Jack Brayboy, the 2,500 seat Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium was completed in 1961.
Home to the Golden Bulls men's and women's basketball team, the gym features two lobbies, accessory equipment and storage rooms on the upper level, and connects to the adjacent pool building, which offers an indoor Olympic-size swimming pool. Brayboy gymnasium was also the site of an impassioned speech by Dr. Martin Luther King when he visited Johnson C. Smith University on September 21, 1966.
