JCSU Presents Free Annual Christmas
Vespers Service
November
13, 2007 – The Johnson C. Smith University Concert Choir
will present its annual FREE Christmas Concert 6
p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2007 in the Jane M. Smith
Memorial Church on campus.
There will be a short organ concert beginning at 5:30
p.m. presented by Dr. Gregory Thompson Chair of Music
and Fine Arts at JCSU. The candle light procession by the
choir will start at 6 p.m. The program will include a
variety of other selections which express the spirit and
mood of the holiday season. The choir is directed by
Professor Bruce A. Thompson.
U.S. News & World Report recently ranked Johnson C.
Smith University as the 10th Best Black Colleges out of all
Historically Black Colleges in the nation. Founded in 1867,
JCSU flourishes as one of our nation’s oldest, academically
and technologically advanced liberal arts colleges.
