-
July 27, 2005 |
(Charlotte,
N.C.)----Hundreds of teens are getting a taste of
college life this week.
They came out to Johnson C. Smith University for
orientation -- also known as Golden Bull Academy.
During the three-day event, incoming freshmen and
their parents got a chance to learn about the
school.
Faculty and students were on hand to answer
questions about financial aid, Greek life and
athletics.
One future student said he was impressed by the
event.
"I didn't think it would be as adventurous and as
fun as it was, but I've enjoyed myself and had a lot
more fun than I thought I would," Collin Crooms
said. "I've learned a lot about not only the campus
of Johnson C. Smith University, but also the life of
a college student."
Crooms said he plans to major in business
administration.
