RALEIGH, NC - (May 26, 2005) - Johnson C. Smith University Sports Information Director Kristene Kelly has been selected as the 2004-2005 John Holley Sports Information Director of the Year by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Kelly, who just completed her third year at JCSU, was honored along with other coaches and administrators at the Marriott Crabtree Valley Hotel in Raleigh, NC.

 As SID, Kelly is responsible for being the liaison between the athletic department and the media, maintaining the athletic website, compiling team statistical information, writing press releases, producing media guides, and other duties as assigned by the athletic director.

 Kelly received a bachelor's degree in physical education and a bachelor's degree in communication arts from JCSU in 2000. She then received her master's degree in sport administration from The University of Tennessee in 2003. She is married to Jonathan Sr. and together they have one son Jonathan Jr. (1).
