JCSU Announcement

Professor Comments On Divide Between Presidential Candidate and Pastor

April 30, 2008 -- A Johnson C. Smith professor spoke to a reporter from CBN News about the resurgence of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and comments he has made that have caused controversy for presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama.

Dr. Pearl Ford, Assistant Professor of Political Sciences for JCSU spoke to CBN producer Robin Mazyck while she was putting together a story about the upcoming North Carolina primary election which will be held on May 6.

Ford spoke to Mazyck about Wright’s speech at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. and about how the Obama campaign has reacted to the comments and the difficulties facing the campaign as they continue to distance the senator from the reverend.
