The Two Bells
"African American Story Tellers"

Wednesday, October 5, 2005
7:30 pm

Biddle Auditorium

The Two Bells are Kevin and Tracy Bell, a husband and wife storytelling team who have been performing since 1999, specializing in interactive tandem telling.  They are grant recipients of the North Carolina Arts Council’s Touring Artist Directory for 2005-2007. Kevin is an artist and musician.  He has created t-shirt designs, brochures, greeting cards, and murals.  He studied graphic design at North Carolina Central University.   Tracy has a BA degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Library Science from North Carolina Central University.  She has been an academic librarian and a public children’s librarian.   The Bells have a beautiful 12-year-old daughter named Clarissa.  For many years, they worked with libraries, schools, and church youth ministries.

The couple weaves their love for folktales and the oral tradition with their talents and abilities.  Audiences of all ages are captivated as the Two Bells ring out pure phonetic tones in the form of songs, poems, and stories.  You are sure to leave with a smile on your face as they transport you to another place!
