Planning, Assessment, Effectiveness, and Research (IPAER)
The Office of IPAER at Johnson C. Smith
University is designed to provide analytical research services to
the JCSU community in the following capacities:

Cooperating with Information Technology
Services to systematically collect the college operational data,
analyze and interpret this data, and disseminate information in
response to the requests of internal and external agencies;

Providing information, consultation,
and research assistance to JCSU faculty, staff, and students for
the purpose of assessing the needs for services, evaluating and
improving the existing services, and developing new services;

Assessing college-wide academic programs
and trends of student learning and faculty teaching in order to
provide the college administration with information needed for
Strategic Planning and executive decision-making;

Conducting comparisons with selected peer
institutions periodically in order to promote public
appreciation of the unique characteristics of, and the special
services provided by JCSU in its century history;

While reporting directly to the College
President, IPAER staff strives
to provide up-to-date, easy-to-access information to the JCSU
community.

Johnson C. Smith University.
