The Pot (Play Performance)

The Johnson C. Smith University Visual, Performing and Communication Arts Department will open The Pot.

The play, written by Dr. Glenn Hutchinson and directed by Marilyn Carter, explores one of the nation's leading equality and civil rights issues – immigration. The leading character, Nathan, is perplexed with the questions, "Who are we? Who am I?" when his older sister brings home two undocumented students for Thanksgiving Dinner. The play leaves its audience contemplating the effects of current immigration policies in the United States.
