Johnson C. Smith University and Fifth Third Bank to Host Economic
Charlotte, N.C. (February 15, 2012) -- Fifth Third Bank’s African American Network, in partnership with Johnson C. Smith University, will host a breakfast on Feb. 23 for business leaders and entrepreneurs who support and advance North Carolina’s African American communities. The breakfast will be held at the Charlotte City Club on 121 West Trade St. from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
The annual event, held in honor of Black History Month, will feature John Augustine, CFA and chief investment strategist with Fifth Third Bank. He will lead a panel discussion with Jeff Feemster, president of E-Z Parking, Inc.; Rick Wade, founding partner of Axelrod-Wade Group and Darrel Williams, FAIA- principal with Neighboring Concepts, PLLC.
Topics will focus on current trends and the 2012 outlook for the region and the nation in terms of interest rates, the stock market and political events. It will also address the impact of global events such as the European debt crisis. Assistance will be offered to help minority business owners find resources that can help them prepare for 2012 and beyond.
