Charlotte, N.C. (August 8, 2011) -- The theme of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Conference is “Enhancing Our Global Impact through STEM Innovation.” The goals of the Conference are to provide professional development opportunities, share best practices and influence future agendas in STEM fields.
The STEM Conference will be held at the Hilton Charlotte University Place and will include keynote speakers, plenary and breakout sessions, as well as networking opportunities with other colleges/universities, businesses and research industries. Attendees will be transported to the campus of Johnson C. Smith University to receive a firsthand glance at our community of research through intimate interaction with student researchers and industry partners at our STEM Showcase. The culminating event of the Conference will be held at the North Carolina Research Campus where some of the world’s leading researchers from academia and industry are fostering collaborations in the STEM disciplines.
