Changing the World One Classroom at a Time
JCSU Launches Smart Classrooms Initiative
Off to a Great Start
Ten new Smart Classrooms can be added annually with ongoing support from alumni and friends. Thanks to JCSU alumna Christy Bryant ('75), who holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics, a Smart Classroom now exists in the Perry Science Hall.
Committed to enhancing students' learning experience, JCSU has proudly launched the Smart Classrooms Initiative. The goal, over the next four years, is to provide Smithites with the most sophisticated information and telecommunication technologies.
Smart Classrooms will feature state-of-the-art multimedia capabilities such as interactive white boards, DVD/VCR, flat screens, and overhead projectors; select rooms will have videoconferencing. A model Smart Classroom is set-up in Room 119, McCrorey Hall.
"As an information technology professional, I can appreciate the value-added to students and instructors in providing state-of-the-art facilities to enhance learning."
-- Christy Bryant ('75), Senior Vice President and Manager of Pipeline Management, Bank of America Smart Classroom Donor
