Ways to Give
There are many ways to make a gift to JCSU and
depending on what you would like to achieve, you may find one method
more attractive than another. Whether you choose to make an outright
gift or a planned gift, each method has particular tax advantages.
Some types of gifts can give you an immediate tax benefit while
others can help you reduce your taxable estate or can provide an
annual income. While each type may offer different advantages for
you, the greatest benefit of any gift is the positive impact it has
on our students.
Outright Gifts include such things as cash, securities, personal
property and real estate and can be claimed as charitable tax
deductions for the year in which they were made.
Planned Gifts are specially arranged gifts to the University made
through such vehicles as wills and trusts and have specific tax
advantages for you and/or your heirs. Please contact the Office of
Institutional Advancement for information about making a planned
gift to the University.
