M. Todd Coolbaugh

M. Todd Coolbaugh has had a varied career in academia and industry before his current appointment at JCSU. He was a Dreyfuss Fellow under Dr. Henry Schreiber at Virginia Military Institute. He then served as the laboratory coordinator for the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Radford University, a position that allowed him to gain extensive practical experience with a wide range of chemical analytical instruments.

He worked for American Research Corporation of Virginia (ARCOVA) for seven years, serving as principal investigator for a number of federally funded projects in the general areas of corrosion control treatments for aerospace alloys and chemical/biological sensor development. In addition, Dr. Coolbaugh held positions in waste water treatment and production of TNT.
