Pamela Richardson-Wilks has been at Johnson C. Smith University since August 2008. Her scholarly pursuits include studies in minority literatures, in particular African-American; literary theory; and interdisciplinary studies. She is a member of the English faculty in the Department of Languages and Literature and also works in the Metropolitan College with the Biddle Institute. As a recepient of a UNCF/Mellon Faculty Fellowship, she recently conducted research related to her doctoral studies on the color complex, post-race social construction, racial passing, and these influences on African-American literature.
