Expectations of a Wireless Network

• The wireless network is available at all sites on the JCSU campus.

• Generally wireless networking is slower than the normal network connection with the net cords. Also as more people utilize the wireless network at the same time, the speed will diminish even more.

Wireless Connection Instructions

1. When logging on your computer, make sure that you have your network cord plugged in and connected.

2. Once you have logged on, click Start and then click Run.

3. Type \\msw2k02 and then click OK.

4. Double-Click the Public folder and then click the JCSU Wire folder.

5. In JCSU Wire click Setup and an Install Wizard MFC Application should start

6. You will be asked to restart your computer.  Press yes and then unplug your network cord. 

7. After you have restarted your computer and when you have logged back on, an authentication screen will appear. Let it run and keep in mid that it may take some time for it to authenticate, so please be patient.

8. Once authenticated, you should be able to connect to the network without your network cord being attached.
