Mr. Milton Jones
Milton
H. Jones Jr. is Finance Services Executive at Bank of America. In
this role he is responsible for operational risk, process excellence
and technology platforms for the Chief Financial Officer Group. He
also has oversight for the company’s financial systems and
processes, supply chain management and customer level profitability
reporting. Jones also serves as Market President for North Carolina
and the Charlotte area, responsible for integrating and delivering
the company’s resources to communities and customers.
Jones is a 30-year veteran of Bank of America and its predecessor
companies who most recently served as Global Quality & Productivity
executive. For three years he led the company’s highly-effective
quality and Six Sigma process engineering initiatives. Jones is also
a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Jones previously has served as Quality & Productivity executive and
Mid-South Region President for the Consumer and Commercial Bank. He
led the Technology Solutions division within the company’s
Technology & Operations organization and was president of the Dealer
Finance Services Group, one of the largest bank providers of
commercial and retail financing for the automobile, recreational
vehicle and marine industries.
Previously, Jones held senior executive roles in the Finance
organization, as Senior Finance Executive for Technology &
Operations and the General Bank. He was Executive Vice President and
Group Manager of Finance and Administration for the Georgia bank,
and served in a number of roles related to financial planning and
asset liability information and analysis.
Jones graduated from the University of Notre Dame. In 1997, he
received the National Association of Black Accountants Career
Achievement Award. He was previously named as a Black Alumni
Exemplar for the University of Notre Dame and received the
prestigious Frazier T. Thompson Career Achievement Award.
Since 2003, Jones has been a member of 100 Black Men of Atlanta and
the chairman for the Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic. He
also is the chairman for the Board of Trustees of Meharry Medical
College in Nashville, Tenn., serves on the Executive Committee of
the Charlotte YMCA, the Executive Committee of Charlotte Center City
Partners, and the Board of Directors of First Tee of Charlotte.
Previously, Jones chaired the Bank of America Diversity Business
Council, and served on the Board of Directors of the Charlotte
Chamber. He is a former chairman of Techwood Park, Inc., Metro
Atlanta YMCA, Research Atlanta, and served on various other
non-profit organizations in Atlanta.
