Mrs. Linda P. Hudson
Linda P. Hudon was elected as an officer and Vice President of
General Dynamics in May 1999. Ms. Hudson was concurrently appointed
President of General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products in
Burlington, Vermont before the company was relocated to Charlotte,
NC in September 2003. Prior to being appointed President of General
Dynamics, Ms. Hudson held an array of prestigious positions,
beginning her career as a Research and Development Engineer in 1976.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Ms. Hudson received her
bachelor's degree, with honors, in Systems Engineering. Remaining
active in her community, Ms. Hudson has served on an advisory board
for the College of Engineering. Selected by the National Defense
Industrial Committee for Ammunition Producers and she has been
retained by the U.S. Government as an expert on industrial base
issues and defense reutilization. NDIA recognized Ms. Hudson with
their prestigious "Firepower Award" for her contributions to the
defense of our country. Recently she became the first woman to
receive the National Infantry Association's "Military Order of St.
Maurice" in recognition of outstanding support of the U.S. Army
Infantry.
Ms. Hudson is active in the Charlotte community, serving on the
boards of the Charlotte Chamber, the United Way of Central
Carolinas, the North Carolina Conference for Women, Queens
University, and McColl Graduate School of Business. Ms. Hudson also
serves on the board of Norwich University of Northfield, VT.
