Position                       Clinical Research Adjunct Professor

Type of Position:        Part Time Adjunct, Grant-Funded Position

Required Hours:         This position may require evening and weekend commitments that relate directly to research responsibilities

General Description

The primary focus of the JCSU HealthPlex is to provide health and wellness services that promote positive attitudes, healthy lifestyles, and responsible self-care for the JCSU campus and community through applied research in health, human performance, and sport. This position will be responsible for performing innovative applied research in health, human performance, and sport research. The successful applicant will be responsible for experimental design; performance of experiments; and interpretation, presentation and publication of results.

 

Responsibilities

Work with faculty to identify research problems related to the topic areas and potential funding sources. Lead in the preparation and submission of research proposals. Conduct research as a member of a research team. Prepare and submit scientific manuscripts for review and publication in peer reviewed journals. Work with, and mentor undergraduate students as part of a research team

 

Qualifications

Earned Master’s degree with a background in health, human performance, and/or sport. Doctorate  degree preferred, will also consider ABD candidates. Evidence of successful grant-writing, as is evidenced by successful dissemination of research in peer- reviewed journals. Experience working in collaborative teams with other faculty or professionals and/or undergraduate students. Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage data sets. CPR/AED certification required
