JCSU Men’s Tennis to Compete in National Black College Tournament -July 1, 2004

Johnson C Smith University men’s tennis team, the six-time CIAA Champions, will be one of the eight teams invited to participate in the inaugural Legacy National Black College Tennis Tournament to be held at the local Jeff Adams Tennis Center October 1 through October 4, 2004. The Golden Bulls were selected based on their unprecedented success in the CIAA over the past six years.

The tournament will showcase talent of the premiere teams from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The top two teams from each of the conferences will play each other in the four-day extravaganza that include displays, educational activities and job opportunities and the players will have the opportunity to meet tennis celebrities.
