Welcome to the official  JCSU alumni site, designed to keep you updated on the latest activities at JCSU and to let you know how you can participate in the life of the university, socially and financially. The National Alumni Association welcomes all former students, and friends of the university. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, or if you need to update your alumni record, please contact our Office of Alumni Affairs.

Our Mission

The mission of the Johnson C. Smith University National Alumni Association is to support the University by accomplishing the Association’s objectives and purposes as documented in the GAA Constitution. Those objectives and purposes are to:

• foster and maintain a strong spirit of loyalty, support and cooperation among the alumni, friends, and former students of the University towards the programs and goals of their Alma Mater.
• engender fellowship and a spirit of comradeship among the alumni of the University toward each other.
• cultivate, develop, and maintain a strong liaison and
  spirit of cooperation between the administration of the University and its alumni, former students, and friends.
• actively encourage promising students to attend the University by developing, establishing, and providing scholarships, athletic and scholastic, as well as other financial assistance to deserving students.
• support the National Pre-Alumni Council and the United Negro College Fund.

Join the National Alumni Association!

How do I join?

You may join through your local alumni chapter of Johnson C. Smith University if you have an active chapter in your area. In this case, you would pay your local chapter dues plus your Association dues. You may pay only your National Alumni Association (NAA) dues and be active with the Association only if you are in a location that does not have an active alumni chapter.

NAA dues are $25 per year. If you are joining directly and not through a chapter, NAA dues should be made payable to the JCSU National Alumni Association. Include your current mailing address, phone number, and email address, if you have one. Please mail your check and information to the NAA treasurer:  Peggy Lide, 6620 Rocklake Dr., Charlotte, NC 28214, peggy.lide@piedmontng.com. 

Importance of Joining

• A unified body of alumni and friends can support the University effectively.
• Dues help support the general operations of the Association.
