Johnson C. Smith University Freshman Summer Scholars Program
July 15 through August 2
How would you like to get a head start on the academic year and save some money in the process?
The Freshman Summer Scholars Program is an intensive educational experience for prospective and incoming students the opportunity to get two college courses under their belt before the beginning of the Fall semester. One of these courses will be ENG131: Composition. The other, depending on enrollment and placement exam results, will be either a Math course or CSC131: Computers and Society.
The total cost of the program is $2500 – which covers tuition, room, board, textbooks, and the use of a laptop computer. This is a significant savings over our standard course offerings.
We have scheduled this program to align with the Golden Bull Academy – a scheduling decision designed to minimize your travel costs and maximize your opportunity for success at JCSU.
We are pleased to be able to offer a payment plan, for those of you who are interested. Please arrange to have $1000 paid to our business office by the start of the program (July 15). The second installment of $1000 will be due before July 22 with any remaining balance due by August 2. Due to the structure of the program, there is no financial aid available to participants.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or Ms. Amy Villegas-McCleave, our Admissions Coordinator for Communications & Special Projects, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 704/378-1107.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
