GPA Calculation
How to Calculate your Grade Point Average
Only letter grades (A, B, C, D and F)
are computed in the grade point average. Grades of (I, W and
P) are not included.
A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C = 2 points
D = 1 point
F = 0
To compute your grade point average:
-
Multiply
the point value of the grade received in each course by the
number of credit hours assigned to the course.

would be distributed as follows:
1st
semester: The student earns 3 hours and 3 points. Each
hour of “D” is worth one point.
2nd semester:
The transcript records no hours (since they were already earned
the semester before) and 6 points.
The difference
between the value of a “D” and a “B”. If we calculate the
two semesters together, it looks like this:
