Duplicate Degree

Duplicate Bachelor Degrees can be ordered from the University for $100.  Delivery time is approximately twelve weeks.  Send your name and date of graduation with a certified check or money order to the Registrar’s Office.

Degree Audit
It is recommended that two semesters prior to a student’s anticipated graduation date he/she meets with his/her advisor or Department Chair to complete a graduation checklist to ensure all graduation requirements are being met and the student will graduate in a timely manner.  If the student wishes to have an evaluation completed by the Registrar’s Office he/she must bring this completed checklist to the office to initiate the process.

Graduation Information
The University administers work leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Social Work.  The Registrar's Office is responsible for processing degrees for all degree candidates.   Seniors are required to file an Application for Degree (completed by the deadline designated on the Academic Calendar). All graduation requirements must be completed and officially documented in the Office of University Records (Registrar) for a student to participate in the Johnson C. Smith University graduation activities. Please consult your Johnson C. Smith University Catalog for specific graduation requirements.

Authorization of Informational Disclosure
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 restricts access to and disclosure of information from students’ educational records without the written consent of the student, except in certain instances permitted under the Act.  For this reason, no one at Johnson C. Smith University is allowed to discuss a student’s academic records with anyone other than the student unless an
Authorization to Release Information Form has been completed by the student and returned to the Registrar’s Office.  Only the persons identified on this form are privy to the student’s information
