Consortium Registration
Full-time students may enroll in courses that are not available at Johnson C. Smith University, but are offered at other participating institutions in the Charlotte Area Educational Consortium (CAEC) without additional tuition and fees.  CAEC offers inter-institutional registration during the fall and spring semesters at the member institutions listed below.

The registration process is initiated by completing a CAEC Registration Form, which can be obtained from the Registrar’s Office, and a Transfer Credit Form, and requires the approval of the student’s advisor, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and the Registrar.  The student is then responsible for making contact with the host institution to register and ensuring that an official transcript is sent to the Registrar’s Office at the end of the semester. The host institution's students are given first preference.
