What excites you about your major?
It’s challenging. Nothing is ever the same.
What would you tell future students?
Pick your major your freshman year. Get assistance, and stay in touch with your professors.
What interesting things are you doing?
I am doing an internship this summer with Nationwide job shadowing different positions they have. You get to do a research project with your career choice. I’ve started studying for actuary exams because I want to do that when I graduate. An actuary is basically a mathematician for an insurance company, predicting probability and risk.
How has JCSU helped you?
I think Smith, more than anything, allows you to be grounded. It’s a smaller campus, a very helpful campus.
