Duke Hall
The James B. Duke Memorial Hall,
the first residence hall to be constructed on the campus for the
housing of female students, is located across Beatties Ford Road
on the west side of the University campus. The three-story
building, built in 1941, houses 101 students, the director’s
office, laundry facilities, storage rooms and a refurbished
Parlor area. All rooms in Duke are double occupancy. On each floor, a
community bathroom is on each end of the hallway. Dimensions
