There is no deadline at Johnson C. Smith University we are
on a rolling admission. We will continue to accept
applications until the day of the drop/add period.

4. Does Johnson C. Smith University allow students who
only have a GED to apply?
Yes, it is possible for students who completed high school
with a GED to be admitted to Johnson C. Smith University.
However, such students will still need to meet all other
standardized test requirements and must also provide
official transcripts of all high school coursework they
attempted, in addition to providing an official copy of
their GED.

Freshmen live in the freshmen dormitory. Female dorms are
called The James B. Duke Memorial Hall, Sanders Hall, and
Myers Hall and the male dorm is called Liston Hall. For more

The Johnson C. Smith University athletics department has
launched a new athletics website.

Freshmen are not allowed to have cars their first year on
campus.

Johnson C. Smith University is Division 2 in the CIAA.
17. Does Johnson C. Smith University offer early decision
or early action admission?
Johnson C. Smith University offers Project Early Start
designated to Charlotte area high school seniors. Selected
students must complete appropriate forms, provide an
official high school transcript, have a minimum GPA of 3.25,
have an SAT score of at least 1000 (a PSAT score of at least
1000 or an ACT score of at least 20), provide two letters of
recommendation from teachers, and receive parental consent.
