Who You’ll Work With

At JCSU, our Spanish professors have studied and taught all over the world. Their firsthand experience of the Spanish and Latin American language and communities will give you a stronger understanding of these vibrant cultures.

Experts in Their Field

All of our foreign language faculty members are experienced in the classroom and know how to incorporate new technology to surround you with all elements of the language and culture.

  • As a student, you’ll benefit from our experience in the field. One JCSU professor has taught language immersion programs in Spain at the University of Barcelona, the University of Salamanca and the University of Florence.
  • Another faculty member has an impressive 20 years’ experience teaching foreign languages in colleges and universities abroad and in the United States.

Valuable Community Connections

  • Your Spanish professors have important connections to the Hispanic leaders in Charlotte and are involved with multicultural activities within our community. These connections make it easier for you to earn internships to practice speaking and writing Spanish in a social setting and work environment.

Our professors have also helped JCSU Spanish majors find academic programs and financial aid to study languages and cultures around the world. Our students have studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Santiago, Dominican; and at Sacred Heart University in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
