Professor at the department of Computer Science and Engineering,
Professor Amin conducting extended studies in Applied Data bases,
Data Mining, and Service Oriented Architecture
Professor Amin Nominated two years in
a row for ” Who’s Who Among American Teachers”
(2004 & 2005)
Professor Amin taught at Elizabeth City State University for four
years.
Teaching undergraduate student’s courses such as Computer Org. &
assembly language, C++ programming Language, Software Engineering,
Programming Languages, Data Base, and System Analysis & Design.
Professor Amin was the Coordinator of the regional Math contest,
Convener of the advising committee, and member of the curriculum
committee.
Professor Amin served as a Co-director (1999-2000) of a grant funded
by the Office Naval Research for the Field Research Facility. US
army Corps of Engineers. The purpose was to implement a web-based
data handling System to compile and archive the primary data sets
from the Duck94 and Sundyduck97 and make Test cases available via
DVD-ROM for broad distribution and applications in model evaluation
and Environmental simulation.
At Delta Computers in Atlanta, GA, Professor Amin worked as computer
consultant (hardware/software); Job Responsibility includes
Staging & Integration.
At Clark Atlanta University as a student she was enrolled in the
five years program for Bachelor and Master Degrees of Science.
Professor Amin graduated in 1996. During the M.S. year she was
interested in the area of Artificial Intelligence in which she
conducted research with Dr. Sirikanth, in particular Speech
Recognition & Neural Networks.
As a student Professor Amin received the following awards:
