Who You’ll Work With

Our history professors at JCSU all possess Ph.Ds. and are dedicated experts in their field.

Young and enthusiastic, our professors care about the success of our students and helping them find the work that they’re passionate about.

Published experts in their field

Our faculty members are respected for their work. In fact, one history professor worked with A&E on the network’s Biography series. He provided insight and background research on former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower for the program.

Community Connections

At JCSU, our history professors are also heavily involved in the Charlotte community. Currently, our faculty members are supporting the formation of the History Cooperative – a citywide nonprofit organization that will promote and assist the study of history in Charlotte.

Our history program is also affiliated with the American Historical Association and the Southern Historical Association. These connections can put you in touch with other experts in the field and possible opportunities for research or employment.

The connections our faculty members have in the Charlotte community, museums and local historic sites can also guide you to the right internships and research opportunities to help your resume stand out in a competitive job market.
