What You’ll Learn
How do you get 16-year-olds interested in the works of famous authors of the past? Sure they can identify with the star-crossed lovers of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but what about King Hrothgar, the protagonist in the classic epic Beowulf?
Your degree in English education will allow you to teach grades 9-12. As an English teacher, you’ll help your students understand literary classics and show them how to effectively put their ideas on paper.

Your courses in education and psychology will also give you the skills to teach a diverse classroom with students of different learning abilities and backgrounds. These classes will help you be a more effective teacher when you communicate with each individual student.
