Academic
Probation Suspension and Dismissal

Any
student who, for the first time, fails to meet the requirements of
the Satisfactory Academic Progress Scale will be placed on
academic probation. It is mandatory that these students register
with the Office of Freshman through Senior Year Experience during
the first two weeks of the Probationary semester and attend 8-10
hours of tutorial and daily academic study sessions in the
Learning Resource Center.

Any
student who, for the second time, fails to meet the requirements
of the Satisfactory Academic Progress Scale will be suspended from
the University for one semester. Students who regain compliance
with the Satisfactory Academic Progress Scale prior to the end of
the suspension period are eligible for immediate readmission to
the University.

Any
Student who, for the third time, fails to meet the Satisfactory
Academic Progress Scale and is subsequently dismissed may appeal
that status in writing to the Committee on Academic Standards.
Otherwise, the student is suspended for two years. A students
whose G.P.A. falls within five hundredths (0.05) of a point of
that required to meet satisfactory academics progress will be
deemed as having met the requirement to remain in good standings
at the University.
